The touch still lingered on her skin,
the taste was rich upon her tongue.
And though she knew it was a sin,
She knew that the love had just begun.
The arrow pierces the flesh too deep,
sometimes severing life before it's begun
and as the crimson blood doth flow
the aching song is sung.
Emotion drives us.
Decides us.
Starves us,
runs behind us.
It carves us
and finds us.
It harms us
with a light so bright it blinds us.
Emotion calms us
and binds us.
In its sweet song embalms us.
And as it sends my corpse down the river.
The last bit of life inside of me shivers.
Skin crawling, fists balling, eyelids quiver...
A lifeless body, but emotions stay with her.
What if we're all ordinary?
What if we're the same?
Under the illusion
that we have a different face.
What if we're identical?
A person is a clone?
No such thing as character;
we're all in monotone.
Take out your eyes
and all you'll see is black.
As the being in control
won't let us see the facts.
There's nothing cute about my smile
because I grin when people bleed.
There's nothing sweet about my eyes;
they only open to watch you plead.
I don't see innocence in the mirror
and though my hair may pass my back.
I won't turn and show you horror
because my back you'll surely stab.
Petticoats and bodies float
as I set my demons free.
Blood is shed upon this blade
and now my own- so cute, so sweet.
i'm sorry I had to say goodbye
but acid tears, I cannot cry.
The loss of one, the trust of another
Death is such a fickle lover
I gave up one, but was it all?
the love of another, close to fall.
I chose, i know, it was my fault
but now it's a wound, rubbed with salt.
The pain, it tears one right in two
i'm lost, not found, what do I do?
I'll chase my tail till hell is cold
and the devil releaseds his icy hold
Did you hear about the girl?
The girl with the spade.
Rumour has it,
she dug her own grave.
Tied back her hair; lank and long.
Powdered her face; Sunday best on.
She set out at midnight; spade in hand.
No one was up and the rain lashed down.
The solemn moon watches
with owl, badgers, foxes...
Uphill; spade in grip.
Persistent with each slip.
Gaze out to the yonder.
Spirit wandered beyond her.
The girl with the spade?
She dug her own grave.
A mask on the face.
Petals in the grass.
Hearts speeding pace.
Love's image at last.
Red amongst the blue.
The sun in the sky.
A smile breaking through.
It's what love looks like.
Aggressive oceans.
A candle flicker.
Every emotion
drawn in love's picture.
You are the centre of my world
burning with ravenous flames.
From the inside, I turn to ashes
as you hold me again.
The core of me is numb
and it sears a yellow-white.
The skin of me may glow
but inside; a blackened sight.
I know you love me dearly.
We share a scalding fervor.
So keep the flames alive
and these sweet words you murmur.
Hello~ I have a multi-chapter story that I'd like to request a folder for. It's a fanfiction, so I don't know if you'll accept the request, but just in case, the story is called "Letters to Marileen". Here's the chapter list to show I've got all the chapters preplanned.
